Symbian Plazer

May 28th, 2006 by teemow

I was looking out for the symbian plazer quite a while, but finally I’m using it since a week now. It’s a lot more fun to use plazes with your mobile. You can hook on plazes that are already there or create new plazes, upload pictures or search for free wifi spots around you. It definitely has to become more like a service instead of an app on your phone. Like the shozu app I’m using to upload my pictures to flickr, it has a service in the background which is reporting new pictures. But the plazer just knows the cell you are in, it doesn’t know in which plaze you actually are. It would be much nicer when already known plazes would be set automatically.
So if you grab my traze rss you will find a lot more detailed information about where I am. Also more and more of my flickr photos will get geotags through the new plazes and this is off course including the old pictures as well.
