RSS to the max

So, with the launch of Google Blogsearch the first of the ‘big 3′ entered the market of Technorati, Bloglines, Blogdigger, Blogpulse and Icerocket. Read more here.

Searching is way faster than on Technorati. So the live web comes even closer. Would like to see its performance in this chart.

What is really interesting is that google’s blogsearch is just indexing rss feeds, so older entries won’t be available. This is a completly different strategy they had years ago when they bought Deja’s archive to have the most complete newsgroups archive in the world. It’s also important for people who still have just excerpts in their rss feeds, which is by the way really bothering. Authors have to change their rss feeds to be completly indexed by google’s blogsearch. This is hopefully an impulsion, Stefan and Tim.

See all the posts linking to me. I can’t wait for the webservice.

Update: Sorry, but I just read that there is already a feed search on MSN Search, so Google isn’t the first. Yahoo will launch its RSS Search at the end of the month.

Update II: Even David Sifry has just excerpts in his feed :(
