del.icio.us and odeo

July 21st, 2005 by teemow

Just found Anabasis’ entry about the system:media:audio links of del.icio.us, which are also in an folksonomy and RSSable, and odeo on the odeo blog. That’s great!

If you’re not using odeo you can copy the same urls to your iPodder or iTunes (e.g. indie)

But there are duplicates. Since delicious doesn’t treat multiple link descriptions like comments the list of files in the rss is not unique. Your podcatcher will download the link once for each description. You can see that here. By the way, the ruby on rails videos are great. On shadows links are unique and users could add comments, but they have no media search and enclosures in their RSS files.

You can also do that with blogdigger (RSS).

By the way, if you have problems with special terms and vocabulary go and visit wikipedia. You will definitely find what I’m talking about (eg. folksonomy).
