WTH: First day

Thursday, July 28th, 2005

After a heavy thunderstorm in the early morning we survived in our tent without drowning. A great cold shower got us ready to start with the lectures today.
The keynote was held by Rop Gonggrijp and Eric Corley aka Emmanuel Goldstein. They gave us an overview about the camps which started 1989 and were held every [...]

What the hack

Wednesday, July 27th, 2005

I’m spontaneously leaving for the What the hack! conference. It’s a big outdoor hacker event in the netherlands. Poorly nobody is coming with me, but look out for some coverage here on my blog.
You can follow me via plazes.
For a complete coverage check out technorati tag ‘whatthehack’.
Update: Molly joined me within an hour, that was [...]

del.icio.us and odeo

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Just found Anabasis’ entry about the system:media:audio links of del.icio.us, which are also in an folksonomy and RSSable, and odeo on the odeo blog. That’s great!
If you’re not using odeo you can copy the same urls to your iPodder or iTunes (e.g. indie)
But there are duplicates. Since delicious doesn’t treat multiple link descriptions like comments [...]

Fox buys MySpace

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

I hate MySpace anyway. It has a really bad website interface. I’m not speaking of functionality, it’s more that I hate the GUI. And I think it’s also no fun for browsers too. There are self designed ugly pages with background sound, a video player and animated gifs. So click on a friends friend and [...]

What’s your favorite summer album this year?
Actually it seems all good indie music is coming from canada this year. So is my summer sunshine album Of Montreal - The Sunlandic Twins. Molly and Malo saw them in San Francisco last month. And the best thing is you can download 25 songs on their webpage for [...]

Dour.a.bility

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

I didn’t get much sleep from sunday to monday. We slept in a tent right next to the car. Dogs barking, bulldozers, party tents and a late coffee destroyed any hope in having a good sleep.
But we had a lot of fun in belgium. I got up late, jan and anina were already waiting, [...]

Project Tool

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

For my projects I usually use a Mediawiki, Mantis and Subversion (WebSVN). But if you want to share information with clients and other people involved in one project, in most cases it is not the best solution to give all the information in your wiki to your clients. Maybe there is important information not to [...]
